Award-Winning Actor/Comedian/Producer/Writer Bill Cosby Returns to Hard Rock Live on May 19

Back by popular demand, the multi-talented, multi-disciplined comedic master Bill Cosby returns to Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on May 19 at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale, now.

Over the past century, few entertainers have achieved the legendary status of William H. Cosby, Jr. His successes span five decades and virtually all media; remarkable accomplishments for a kid who emerged from humble beginnings in a Philly project.

In the 1960s, his stand-up act was a coast-to-coast sensation, spawning a string of hilarious, best-selling comedy albums, which went on to win nine gold records, six platinum records and five Grammy Awards. His role on TV’s I Spy made him the first African-American to co-star in a dramatic series, breaking television’s racial barrier and winning three Emmy Awards.

Best known as Cliff Huxtable on The Cosby Show from 1984-1992, Cosby has used humor to touch people’s lives while providing insight into our roles as parents, children, family members, and men and women. Aside from television success, his accomplishments include films like Uptown Saturday Night and Ghost Dad, concert appearances, recordings, commercials and educational programs. He’s authored several books for both adults and children including Fatherhood, Time Flies, Friends of a Feather, I Am What I Ate…and I’m Frightened!!!, Come on, People! On the Path from Victims to Victors, Love and Marriage, and Congratulations! Now What? He also launched two landmark animated educational children’s series – Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids and Little Bill, based upon his children’s books, which aired daily on Nickelodeon and Saturday mornings on CBS.

Cosby is the recipient of many honorary doctorates from prestigious institution such as Yale and Harvard and was recognized by the Kennedy Center in 1998 for his lifelong contributions to American culture. In 2009, he was recognized with two notable awards including the Mark Twain Prize for Humor and Major League Baseball’s Beacon of Hope Award for his civil rights work.  Additionally, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, America’s highest civilian honor in 2002 and the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award in 2003.
