Arts & Culture
The InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball returns for its 32nd edition with a Midnight Magic theme that promises to be the most ambitious production in the gala's history. The event draws global cultural figures, corporate leadership, and South Florida's philanthropic core to the InterContinental's grand ballroom for an evening that functions simultaneously as charity auction, concert, and social summit.
Thirty-two years. The gala has outlasted trends, recessions, and a pandemic. It remains the anchor event of Miami's philanthropic calendar.
The Red Carpet
The arrival sequence is one of the most photographed moments in Miami's social calendar. The InterContinental's bayfront entrance provides a dramatic backdrop — the bay lit behind the arrivals, the tower rising above. Dress code is black tie, and the room takes it seriously. The guest list spans entertainment, finance, real estate, and the arts.
The Live Auction
The live auction is the centerpiece of the evening's fundraising program. Lots typically include private travel experiences, exclusive dining events, and one-of-a-kind cultural access packages. The bidding floor is competitive — this is a room that knows how to spend, and does so with purpose.
The Midnight Performance
The after-party performance is the evening's open secret — announced to ticket holders in the days before the event, it has historically featured artists whose names carry weight in both the pop and Latin markets. The midnight hour is when the gala shifts register, from formal philanthropy to something closer to a private concert. The room stays full.
Tickets and table packages are available through the Make-A-Wish Southern Florida chapter. The event benefits wish-granting programs for children with critical illnesses across South Florida.
