This year marks the 11th annual Art Basel Miami Beach (ABMB), what has become the premier art event in the United States. Originally created as a sister event to Art Basel, this event has all but eclipsed the original event in popularity and has become a mainstay in South Beach.
With over 260 galleries from around the globe participating in the event and a laundry list of museums from Southern Florida working in collaboration to make this event a smashing success, ABMB has solidified Miami’s importance in the art world. Miami has truly made this event its own and with an ever-increasing number of exhibitors and a steadily rising number of event attendees, it is no surprise that almost every visual arts organization of prominence is involved to some degree with the festivities taking place.
