LALIQUE TO FEATURE FIRST INTERIOR DECORATION EXHIBITION AT BLOOMINGDALE’S MIAMI AT THE FALLS November 7 – December 2

Representing the ultimate in artisanal skills, utmost precision and fundamental values, LALIQUE stands for luxury, excellence and creativity.

LALIQUE has a longstanding heritage in creating magnificent architectural works as René Lalique was famously commissioned to decorate the Orient Express train, the Normandy Ocean Liner, the penthouse of the Oviatt building in Los Angeles and the historic glass windows of the original Coty building on New York’s Fifth Avenue, to name a few.  Lalique earned his title, Sculpteur de Lumiere, from the richly sculptural craftsmanship and dramatic contrasts between clear and frosted finishes that define his work.

LALIQUE continues in the tradition of its founder with the next generation of luxury hospitality projects with installations in London’s Claridge’s Hotel, The Mandarin Oriental in Paris, and Beverly Hills’ Montage Hotel, as well as creating the custom grand staircase for Oceania’s Marina and Riviera luxury ocean liners.

Today, this luxurious and sensual architectural universe opens up for all to see with LALIQUE’s first Interior Decoration Exhibition (IDE) for Bloomingdale’s Miami at The Falls.   Featured in the IDE are an array of furniture and lighting pieces including crystal tables, consoles, mirrors, chandeliers, sconces, lamps, door handles, door knobs, cabinet knobs and architectural panels.  Highlights of the IDE include LALIQUE’s timeless Cactus Table that will make an appearance alongside the Chene and new Orgue chandeliers.  The Orgue collection, created by Studio Andree Putman, presents modern and elegant lines highlighted by the purity and brilliance of crystal.  Through it all, LALIQUE’s unique perspective on all types of design elements stands in a class by itself for beauty and quality craftsmanship.

“We are thrilled to be bringing the LALIQUE architectural universe to Bloomingdale’s Miami at The Falls.  Customers, architects and designers alike can see firsthand the artistry and know-how of LALIQUE craftsmanship and the wide range of possibilities that these LALIQUE products offer in any setting,” says Maz Zouhairi, President of Lalique North America.

“Lalique and Bloomingdale’s have built a longstanding partnership,” said Joe Laneve, senior vice president and general merchandise manager of home furnishings at Bloomingdale’s. “We are excited to feature these timeless and unique pieces in Lalique’s first Interior Decoration Exhibit for our customers at Miami at The Falls to enjoy.”
