ADRIAN CASTRO, author of the poetry collection Handling Destiny (Coffee House Press), is a Cuban-Dominican writer, performer, teacher, herbalist, and Ifá priest from Miami. His previous books are Cantos to Blood and Honey, an Academy of American Poets Award-winning collection, and Wise Fish, a New York Times Book Review Editor’s Choice. “Adrian Castro is fast becoming our foremost poet of the Caribbean,” says Campbell McGrath.
