A Quick-Hit Guide the Formula One Miami Grand Prix

From Carbone’s exclusive beach experience to Red Bull’s takeover of the Faena Hotel to the launch of Surface’s Art in Motion exhibition, here’s everything you need to know about this weekend’s marquee racing world event.

Culinary: Leading the charge on the culinary front is Major Food Group’s pop-up supper club, Carbone Beach, an outpost of the powerhouse Italian restaurant with locations in New York, Las Vegas, Hong Kong, and Miami. The four-night activation, exclusively available to American Express members, will see Mario Carbone himself preparing fan-favorite dishes with an extra theatrical flair.

Experiences: Visitors to the TAG Heuer Miami Experience, located in Jungle Plaza at the Miami Design District, can whip around a red-and-white checkered race track in custom go-karts while also getting a sneak peek at the brand’s line of timepieces designed with Oracle Red Bull Racing. While in the Design District, be sure to stop by our gallery and showroom, Surface Area, to view “Art in Motion,” a limited-run show celebrating the beauty of movement. On display: Daniel Arsham’s never-before-seen Eroded Ferraris, a sculpture made of selenite, quartz, and hydrostone; three works that explore a man’s unquenchable thirst for power and destruction by Cleon Peterson; and Michael Kagan’s Nürburgring XVI, portraying late driver Niki Lauda driving a practice lap at the Nürburgring track before the 1976 German Grand Prix.
