
Legendary rock band The Who continues their “Moving On!” tour at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood on Tuesday, April 21 at 8 p.m. The acclaimed “Moving On!” tour pairs singer Roger Daltrey and guitarist/songwriter Pete Townshend with local symphony orchestras across North America and was hailed by critics as a once-in-a-lifetime rock experience. Hard Rock Live, Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood’s new entertainment venue, is part of the $1.5 billion property expansion unveiled Oct. 24, 2019. The 7,000-capacity Hard Rock Live is equipped with state-of-the-art in-house sound and lightning, in addition to clamshell-style seating giving guests an intimate experience.
Tickets cost $505, $255, $205, $155, $135, $115, $105 and $85. Tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. Fan club members can purchase presale tickets beginning Wednesday, Dec. 4, at 10 a.m. Fans can also access venue presale tickets starting Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 10 a.m. through Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood’s Facebook and Twitter pages. In addition, $1 from each ticket sold for the “Moving On!” Tour will benefit Teen Cancer America . All seats are reserved. Tickets are available at www.myhrl.com. The show also will feature The Who’s full live band comprised of keyboardist Loren Gold, bassist Jon Button, drummer Zak Starkey and backing vocals by Billy Nicholls along with orchestra conductor Keith Levenson, lead violinist Katie Jacoby and lead cellist Audrey Snyder, passionately delivering The Who’s many classics.
The show will also feature songs from The Who’s brand new album, titled “Who,” their first full-length album in 13 years, available everywhere Friday, Dec. 6. The recent single “All This Music Must Fade,” has also drawn praise as “The Who’s defiant post-script” by “The New York Times.” A recent Rolling Stone feature proclaimed the album a worthy addition to their canon, noting the above-mentioned track and “Street Song,” citing “Daltrey’s anguished vocal” as “among the more moving performances of his career.”
Local symphonies will again be joining The Who putting their indelible stamp on the music’s timelessness in support of Daltrey and Townshend’s trademark emotional power. Previous legs of the “Moving On!” tour generated the most unanimous outpouring of acclaim from critics and fans of any live rock show this year, winning rave reviews across North America for the orchestral dynamic as well as the duo’s cathartic rock firepower and intimate acoustic numbers.
