@Virgin_Atlantic VIRGIN ATLANTIC SEEKS BUDDING REPORTER TO ROCK THE RED CARPET AT THE GREAT BRITISH FILM RECEPTION HONORING THE BRITISH NOMINEES OF THE 87th ACADEMY AWARDS®

Virgin Atlantic is on the hunt for its very first ‘Red Carpet Reporter’ to report live from the GREAT British Film Reception at The London in West Hollywood on Friday, February 20, 2015. The airline is scouting a social media savvy, entertainment enthusiast with sizzling onscreen talent to capture the Oscar Weekend festivities as the British Consul General in Los Angeles honors the British nominees of the 87th Annual Academy Awards. Not only will the winner have exclusive interview opportunities with Oscar nominees, he or she will also gain invaluable one-on-one red carpet reporting training from Melanie Bromley, Chief News Correspondent, E! News.

“We are incredibly proud to partner once again with the GREAT Britain campaign and the British Consul in Los Angeles to celebrate all of the UK’s phenomenal accomplishments in film this year, and are excited that we can give this amazing opportunity to a budding entertainment reporter,” said Simon Bradley, VP Marketing, North America, Virgin Atlantic. “The Red Carpet Reporter will be taking the reins of our social channels, reporting live, as they get to meet and greet some of the best of British talent.”

“With so much British talent at this year’s awards, we have a tremendous wealth of stories to tell about UK film,” said British Consul General Chris O’Connor. “So I’m excited to welcome Virgin Atlantic’s Red Carpet Reporter to join us for an unforgettable night.”
