The Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS) welcomes Military Members and their families! MODS offers a variety of discounts for active-duty personnel, veterans, and their families throughout the year including:
- $3 off museum admission for active-duty military members and veterans all-year round.
- Through the Blue Star Museums Program, active-duty military members and up to five family members can enjoy MODS FREE of charge through Monday, September 2nd.
- During Fleet Week, all military members can enjoy MODS FREE of charge.
To receive these discounts, please present a valid military ID at the time of ticket purchase.
Located in the heart of downtown Fort Lauderdale’s Arts and Science District, MODS features 145,000 square feet of dynamic science exhibits, which includes an outdoor science park, a live animal collection, a rotating schedule of science shows.
MODS is open Monday – Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Museum of Discovery and Science is open every day of the year including Thanksgiving and Christmas except for one-day in the spring for its annual Wine, Spirits and Culinary Celebration and one-day in the fall for its annual Gala on October 26, 2019. The Museum is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. The Museum is located downtown at 401 SW Second Street, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33312.
