After six long months, 23 musicians from the Miami Symphony Orchestra – MISO gathered together for a great rehearsal and recording session for the first time. This beautiful rehearsal and recording took place in a recording studio in Miami, conducted remotely from Greece by our Music Director and Conductor Eduardo Marturet with Assistant Conductor Luis David Aguilar. It was a considerable effort to gather this select group of musicians and take care of all safety measures per the CDC Guidelines. MISO staff and the musicians were thrilled to hear the beautiful music produced by them. It sounds better than ever after, so long. The orchestra plans to have more of these recording sessions and stream them through its Digital Concert Hall.

“This new normal is here to stay. After opening the regular live concerts, we will keep streaming high-quality concerts for our extended audience, especially for those unable to attend a concert hall for different circumstances,” says Eduardo Marturet – Music Director and Conductor.
Special thanks to Gussy Lopez for the masks for our staff and musicians.
