General On-Sale begins on Saturday, December 5th 10AM.

COMEDY CENTRAL returns as the national media partner and for the first time Live Nation will be the sole producers of the Festival handling all marketing, PR, talent booking and production. Also COMEDY CENTRAL and Live Nation welcome back sponsors Kia Motors (4th year) and Taco Bell (5th year) as well as The Miami Beach Visitors and Convention Authority, The Miami Herald, and the City of Miami Beach who have supported the Festival for five years.

Once again the Festival will utilize four main locations to highlight its exciting variety of talent. Acts will perform at the Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theatre, Lincoln Theatre, Colony Theater and the Lincoln Road Stage at Euclid Avenue, which is home to the Festival’s outdoor, nightly, free comedy stage. And for the first time, special shows and official events will be held at some of South Beach’s hottest clubs.

The Festival begins as Miami Light Project & South Beach Comedy Festival Present Mad Cat Theatre Company’s “Shepherd’s Pie” on Wednesday, January 20th, 7:30PM at the Colony Theater, 1040 Lincoln Road. Founded by Paul Tei in 2000, Miami’s Mad Cat Theatre Company is committed to creating an outlet for young people looking for an alternative to the numbing of clubbing, bad blockbuster movies and your mom and dad’s tired old theatre. Playwright Ivonne Azurdia’s Shepherd’s Pie tells the scoundrel rich, sheep conversing, and religious converting history of dear Saint Paddy and Ireland with rhyme and laughs like only Mad Cat’s all star cast can! General Admission tickets are $25.00 in advance, $30.00 day of show with special student tickets for $10.00 day of show only. There is also a VIP ticket available for $50.00 that includes admission to the after party.
