Often described as Europe’s Barbra Streisand, NANA MOUSKOURI is a world-renowned singer with a career spanning five decades and one of the best-selling female artists of all time with more than 350 million albums sold worldwide. Mouskouri’s recording of “The White Rose of Athens” (1962) became a major European hit, and in the early 1970s she had a series of successful albums in the United Kingdom. During her accomplished career, she has recorded more than 1,000 songs and received numerous gold and platinum records. In addition, Mouskouri has recorded songs in several languages including Greek, French, English, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish and Hebrew.

The multilingual soprano returns to the U.S. for her “Happy Birthday Tour,” which started on her birthday, October 13, in Athens, and will take her around the world for one year—not just to celebrate her birthday, but to also pay tribute to the composers and writers who have inspired her singing throughout the years. NANA MOUSKOURI will be accompanied by a band of four French musicians and daughter Lénou, who has had her own singing career in France since 2001.
