Celebrating more than four decades of success, refined history and widespread recognition, the American Heart Association’s Miami Heart & Stroke Ball holds a place in the local spotlight as one of the most continuous and prestigious charity events in Miami. This year the event will celebrate the work and leadership of Dr. Ralph L. Sacco, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neurology for the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine. Sacco is the National President of the American Heart Association, the first neurologist in the history of the organization to serve as President. Event Chairman are Tony and Kristin Degina, Chief Executive Officer, University of Miami Hospital. Dr. William O’Neill, Chief Medical Officer and Executive Dean of Medicine, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, is the Medical Chairman.
