Tagliatelle Opens in Miami

Restaurateur Matthieu Mineo announces the debut of his newest endeavor, Tagliatelle, serving traditional Italian fare along with Seafood in Miami Beach, FL. Teaming up with Executive Chef  Mariano Gravante, previously of Alta Mare, Mineo has created a stunning combination of his European restaurants Exocet and Tagliatelle located in France. Drawing inspiration from both restaurants, Tagliatelle Miami features a traditional European menu focusing on homemade pastas and fresh fish.

Located in the trendy South of Fifth neighborhood, the bright and airy restaurant offers seating for 74 inside and 40 on the street side patio. Fine crystal glassware sits atop tables made of volcanic stone, hand painted by Italian artist Domiziani using a Monet-esque color palette reminiscent of spring. The walls are covered in the finely stroked white stucco that is used in Exocet and Tagliatelle in France. A white exposed brick archway sits next to the sleek and modern bar lit by sleek stainless steel pendant lamps to set the mood.

Chef Mariano Gravante brings 15 years of experience earned at many well-known Miami staples including AltaMare, Indochine and Bussola to the kitchen at Tagliatelle. Gravante also improved his culinary expertise with a recent apprenticeship in Italy focusing on customary Italian cooking techniques. As the Principal Chef of Tagliatelle South Beach, Gravante uses a fresh and unique approach to Italian bringing the traditional flavors of Italy to light and healthy plates on the South Beach shore.

Menu highlights include the classically prepared Salad Nicoise Lettuce, Tomato, Egg, Olive, Carrot, Pepper, Onion, Cucumber and Tuna, a popular lunch item and favorite of Mineo who hails from Nice, France. Other signature items include Scallop Carpaccio Raw Thinly Sliced Scallops, Endive, Fresh Tomato, Basil and Truffle Oil; The Campania Garlic, Olive Oil, Portobello, Shitake, Baby Bella Mushrooms, Fresh Tomato, Basil and Bufala Mozzarella served with a choice of Penne, Spaghetti, Gnocchi or Tagliatelle homemade with flour imported from Italy.
