Swarovski to collaborate with Asif Khan at Design Miami/ 2012

December 5-9, 2012 in Miami, Swarovski Crystal Palace will partner with London-based designer Asif Khan on his first large scale installation since his hugely popular Beat Box pavilion created with Coca Cola and Mark Ronson for the 2012 London Olympics.

Featuring more than 1.3 million Swarovski crystals in a nearly 20-foot hight structure, Khan’s interactive Parhelia installation will bring elements of the arctic tundra to sunny and humid Miami.

Asif Khan is quickly becoming one of the world’s most buzzed about young designers. At just 32, he’s been awarded the W Hotels Design Miami/ Designer of the Future Award and has worked with clients ranging from Paul Smith and Colette Paris to the Design Museum of London and MUJI.
