Spanish American League Against Discrimination Hosted the 2011 South Florida Consular Corps Reception & Forum at CAMACOL Towers

SALAD South Florida Consulars Corp eventThe Spanish American League Against Discrimination (SALAD) in conjunction with the Latin Chamber of Commerce U.S.A (CAMACOL) recently hosted the 2011 South Florida Consular Corps Reception & Forum at the CAMACOL Towers located in Miami. The organization honored the South Florida Consular Corps for its dedication to unite the South Florida business communities with their countries. Guest Speaker for the evening was the Honorable Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lethinen, Chairwoman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, who spoke about Free Trade Agreements and International and Hemispheric Cooperation. SALAD and CAMACOL welcomed more than 30 Consulates from all over the world to the reception and forum.

“The South Florida Consular Corps is the fourth largest in the country and plays an important role in the development of commerce for our area and in promoting goodwill between Florida and our international partners,” said Marcos Regalado, President of SALAD.

Guests were treated to hors d’œuvre courtesy of El Novillo Restaurant and cocktails sponsored by World Brands Internationals. Baptist Health, Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, World Brands International, CAMACOL, El Novillo Restaurant, and The Guayabera Lady were some of the event sponsors.
