The smokin’ second annual “Seminole Hard Rock Rock ‘n’ Roll Beer-B-Que” gets grilling on Saturday, June 30 from 4 to 8 p.m. More than 40 of South Florida’s top barbeque restaurants will compete by showcasing their outdoor grill skills and offering samples to thousands of guests.

In addition to unlimited free samples of tangy, spicy and smoked specialties, complimentary beer will be available from a variety of popular brand favorites and micro-breweries. Participating restaurants and breweries include CenterFolds Cabaret, Cowboys Saloon, D Dog House Restaurant & Bar, El Jefe Lunchador, J.G. McGuinness, Mugs Sports Bar & Grill, Organic Brewery, Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill, Tap 42 and Whiskey Tango All American Bar & Grill

Attendees will be encouraged to vote for their favorite barbeque restaurant while they enjoy line dancing lessons from Cowboys Saloon, live music from Rock With U Entertainment and local bands Ghost of Gloria and The New Planets.  A panel of local celebrity judges will award prizes for “Best Chicken,” “Best Ribs,” “Best Pork,” “Best Brisket,” “Best Overall” and “Most Unique.” Judges include Karen and Marty Hyde of the Florida BBQ Association, Laine Doss, New Times’ food writer, Chef James Tahhan, Telemundo’s resident chef and Jeff Eats, food blogger. One lucky restaurant grill master will be chosen as the “Fan Favorite.”

For true gourmet aficionados, the “Seminole Hard Rock Rock ‘n’ Roll Beer-B-Que” will offer special limited VIP tickets that include seating in an air-conditioned VIP Tent with live entertainment, complimentary wine by Rex Goliath, an exclusive signature brew from BX Beer Depot, spirits provided by New Amsterdam Vodka and Gin, and BBQ treats provided by America’s Backyard.
