Society 8 Hospitality Group today announced the opening of its newest concept, Sistrunk Marketplace & Brewery, a 24,000 square foot food hall, mixed-use event space and retail concept. The first of its kind in Fort Lauderdale, Sistrunk Marketplace & Brewery is open Thursday – Sunday, currently with limited capacity. Located at 115 Northwest 6th Street (Sistrunk Blvd), Sistrunk Marketplace & Brewery is in the heart Fort Lauderdale’s historic Sistrunk, bordering the hip, Flagler Village arts district in Fort Lauderdale.
The newly opened property features a myriad of food vendors including: Bronte Café, The Chop Shoppe, TheEmpanada Bodega, Fuoco Roman Pizza, Heavenly Raw, Hot Lime Craft Tacos and Ceviche, Kasai + KooriAsian Deserts, Needa’ Pita, Nellie’s Country Kitchen, OSOM Crepes, Poke OG, and Senbazuru Ramen. In addition, there are several private and shared event spaces; a DJ and production music academy – Wired Sound Academy, and a co-op style retail boutique – SistrunKollective.
In addition, a brewery – Khoffner Brewery, and a distillery – Shady Distillery will also be opening inside the property during the September/October timeframe. Currently, Khoffner Beer is sold at the at the large, full-service wine and liquor bar located in the center of the food hall. The event spaces will also offer cooking classes and distillery tours in the future. Additionally, themed nights and entertainment will feature Sunday brunches, Sunday ‘In the Biz’ family dinners, wine pairings, a Wednesday Dinner and Movie Night, and much more.
Sistrunk Marketplace & Brewery was conceptualized and brought to life by Steven Dapuzzo, of Society 8 Hospitality Group, a full-service restaurant and events company. Dapuzzo is a culinary expert who has launched several successful restaurant concepts including SoLita, Beauty & the Feast, Park & Ocean and Wild Thyme Oceanside Eatery, the signature restaurant located in The Atlantic Hotel & Spa.

In accordance with CDC guidelines, and under Florida’s current Phase 1 guidelines, Sistrunk Marketplace & Brewery food hall is operating with limited capacity (half of its 565-person capacity). Reservations must be made in advance, masks and social distancing are required.
Sistrunk Marketplace guests must book their visit times in advance through SistrunkMarketplace.com. Waitstaff will verify reservations at the entrance and direct guests to the tableside online ordering app.
Sistrunk Marketplace will be offering indoor and outdoor seating and is adhering to all the necessary guidelines set forth by Broward County and the CDC:
- Sistrunk Marketplace thoroughly cleans and sanitizes the entire restaurant prior to resuming dine-in services and continues to do so regularly.
- Sistrunk Marketplace offers spacious seating with safe distancing between tables.
- Staff temperatures are monitored before the start of each shift.
- All restaurant staff are wearing masks, using hand sanitizer, and wearing gloves at every opportunity.
- Guests must always wear a mask except while eating and drinking.
- Guests order from their tables with Sistrunk Marketplace’s online ordering system and then as food is prepared each kiosk will bring your food and beverages to your table for enjoyment.
- Group seating is available (no more than 6 people or 10 from the same household per table).
