New York Fashion House Sara Mique Donating 20 Percent of Sales On Special “Have a Heart” Collection through Feb. 28 to American Heart Association’s Broward County Go Red For Women Movement

In honor of American Heart Month (February), Sara Mique, the New York City-turned-Florida women’s apparel fashion design house, is donating 20 percent of all sales on its women’s “Have a Heart” Collection through Feb. 28, 2011 to the American Heart Association’s Broward County Go Red For Women Movement.

Go Red For Women is the American Heart Association’s solution to save women’s lives. With one out of three women still dying from heart disease, Go Red For Women is committed to fighting this No. 1 killer that can be prevented.

The “Have a Heart” Collection is available in custom colors and sizes. It includes a beautiful fitted long-sleeved top featuring a stunning sequined heart, priced at $175. The fashionable yet comfortable Capri tights complete with sequins are sold for $345; without sequins, $245.

“Sara Mique is very involved in giving back to the South Florida community,” said Joan “Sara Mique” Lamonica, founder and owner of Sara Mique. “I’m a proud member of Go Red for Women’s Circle of Red, and we’re delighted to give to the cause, which is making a difference in our community and throughout the country.”

For almost 30 years, Sara Mique has been creating beautiful women’s apparel of all sizes cut from only the highest quality unique laces, silks, velvets and embroideries. Each Sara Mique garment is custom-made; hand-sewn by an expert seamstress and individually hand-dyed by a textile artist directly behind the retail showroom. There are no buttons or zippers on Sara Mique garments, giving them the ease and comfort of a leotard.
