NBC, Donald Trump and Mark Burnett offer 16 economically challenged candidates the opportunity to compete for the ultimate second chance at reviving their careers when the boardroom reopens for a 2-hour premiere on Thursday, September 16 (9-11 p.m. ET). This group of uniquely talented and fiercely competitive candidates will compete over 13 weeks to become “The Apprentice.” Each of these 16 candidates is deserving of a fresh start and will have to battle it out with each other as they fight to prove they have the guts and determination to confront the toughness of each challenge and survive Donald Trump’s final judgment. Among the candidates – all of whom have been adversely affected by the economic downturn – include the unemployed, struggling business owners and recent college graduates.

Daedrian McNaughton:    On the Apprentice, David had very little regard for you. Now , you are a couple.   How did this romance start, and how is it going now?

Poppy Carlig: After I was fired all the contestants go to a place called the Ponderosa which is a hotel for all the fired contestants. And it was actually my birthday when I was fired. So we all as a group went out to dinner. The next day we went to Ellis Island and David took me aside and, deeply apologized to me. And I think he realized that I was more than just a well educated young person. So he apologized to me, and we had a long conversation, and just sort of got to know one another. And I definitely had a lot of reservations about him before entering the relationship. But we started hitting it off really well.

Daedrian McNaughton:    In the Kim Kardashian task you said you had similar taste, yet she thought that your work lack sophistication. How did you feel when you found out what she said about your project?

Poppy Carlig: After seeing the other team’s product I agreed with the lack of sophistication. But at the same time if you look at her promo material she is wearing this huge gaudy beau and it has rhinestones earrings in her ears that are enormous. So, for her to say that she was – that we were entirely way off, I think she should look at her picture first.

Spread the love!
