NBC’S ‘DAYS OF OUR LIVES’ AND STARS FROM TELEMUNDO AND mun2 JOIN WITH HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF GREATER MIAMI TO GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

NBC’s “Days of our Lives” and stars from sister cable networks Telemundo and mun2 will unite to give back to the community when they participate in a building project with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami on Tuesday, February 22. The Miami effort is the third with the participation of “Days” cast members following other projects in Los Angeles and Philadelphia.

The venture to give back comes on the heels of the “Days” 45th anniversary and recent pickup for another two seasons.

Participating on behalf of “Days of our Lives” is team leader Arianne Zucker (as Nicole Walker DiMera), Miami native Camila Banus (Gabi Hernandez), Casey Deidrick (Chad Peterson-Woods), Eric Martsolf (Brady Black), Chandler Massey (Will Horton) and Natalia Livingston (Taylor Walker). Joining the “Days” cast from Telemundo is Edgar Lopez, Karim Mendiburu and Mirella Grisales from “Titulares y mas,” and from mun2 is Pablo Alsina and Guadalupe Venegas, hosts of “The mun2 Arena” and Pico, host of “The mun2 Shuffle.”

The build will take place in Liberty City – a once thriving cultural center in Miami’s inner urban core – as a part of the Liberty City Shine campaign to build and restore more than 200 homes in three years. The campaign falls under Habitat’s Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative, which seeks to take a more holistic, community-centered approach to fulfilling their mission.

Rather than building on large swaths of vacant land, Miami Habitat is building on infill lots near the heart of Liberty City, increasing the availability of affordable housing stock for the community’s low-income residents.

In addition to the work in Liberty City, “Days” talent will be appearing at the local Coconut Grove Arts Festival and participating in autograph sessions with NBC 6, NBC’s Miami affiliate, on Sunday, February 20 and Monday, February 21.
