In celebration of National Meatball Day on March 9th, 2013 SoLita Italian Restaurant &The Parlor Lounge, with locations on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale and in Downtown Delray, has cooked up a number of delicious temptations and is urging meatball fans to “Pledge to Celebrate” the holiday.
SoLita’s National Meatball Day line-up kicks off on Thursday March 7th from 5pm-7pm with “Meatball Madness”, where guests can enjoy a glass of wine and your choice of: meatballs with hot & sweet peppers, meatball parmesan, meatballs with fresh ricotta, or meatballs with salad ($9.95). Meatball Madness continues on Friday and Saturday also from 5pm-7pm, and the four-day celebration wraps up on Sunday with a big spaghetti & meatball dinner ($14.95/per person) for the whole family. SoLita, with their comfortable, warm seating areas, will also be offering beer & wine pairings for meatballs with Peroni; and glasses of Chianti, Merlot and Pinot Grigio.
“When a day like this comes around, we’ve got you covered, said Steven D’Apuzzo, of SoLita Italian Restaurant. “Since everyone loves our house-made, old-school meatballs, we knew one day of specials wouldn’t be enough, so we’re offering South Floridians four days of meatball excitement.”
In addition to menu offerings at the restaurant locations, SoLita Italian will also be promoting National Meatball Day with street teams on both Las Olas Boulevard in Ft. Lauderdale and Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach armed with a meatball cart and stickers urging meatball fans to pledge to celebrate “National Meatball Day”.
