Morris Lapidus at ArtCenter/South Florida

As Lincoln Road turns 50, ArtCenter/South Florida will be exhibiting historic photographs, memorabilia and the designs of Morris Lapidus – architect most responsible for Miami Beach’s dramatic revival in the Golden years. 

As a staple of Lincoln Road and celebrating its 25th anniversary, ArtCenter/South Florida will be paying homage to Lapidus’ work by showcasing visual elements as well as a timeline explaining the area’s evolution. The exhibition dubbed Emotion as Data will coincide with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Convention and runs May 21 through July 18, 2010.  The reception is slated for Saturday, May 22 at is free and open to the public.
