MICHAEL SCHWARTZ PRESENTS
AMARA & FRIENDS DINNER SERIES
HIGHLIGHTING MIAMI’S MOST PROMISING
CHEFS & BOLD LATIN FLAVORS CO-HOSTED WITH
MARVIN TAPIA

Miami’s culinary scene just got a little more exciting with the launch of Michael Schwartz Presents: Amara & Friends, a dining experience that shines the spotlight on the city’s up-and-coming culinary talent. Co-hosted by Marvin Tapia, a respected Latin/Hispanic community leader, the monthly guest chef dinner series will showcase a rotating lineup of Latin chefs and their cuisines.

Featuring passed hors d’oeuvres and a delectable 4-course pre-fixe menu cooked on a live fire grill, guests will also enjoy a welcome cocktail at the Coconut Bar featuring Brugal Rum. Red and white wine will be served during dinner, while 10% of proceeds from each event will go to Viernes Culturales, a Miami-based non-profit organization that celebrates Latin American arts, culture, and heritage.

The lineup of guest chefs is an impressive one, with countries including Argentina, Cuba, Venezuela, and the Dominican Republic represented. Renata Ferraro and Carlos Flores from Flour & Weirdoughs kicked off the series on May 23 with their Argentinean cuisine, followed by Justin Sherrer and Lisetty Llampalla from Doce Provisions showcasing their Cuban dishes on June 13.

Other upcoming chefs include Jesus Brazon from Caracas Bakery in Venezuela, Guillermo Caceres from 27 Restaurant in Honduras, and a special Maestros Dinner featuring Gabriel Urrutia from Brugal and Chef Danny Peñaló from Yarumba representing the Dominican Republic. With limited seating available, reservations can be made through OpenTable Experience ortoday.
