MSMF’s annual New World Center Concert featuring the top performers and highlights of the 2015 Miami Summer Music Festival. Artistic Directer and Founder Michael Rossi conducts top participants from the MSMF Orchestra, Piano, Composition and Opera Institutes.

Miami Summer Music Festival returns to the New World Center for an exciting second season following critical acclaim from their 2014 inaugural year.

200 top young talents from the world’s elite classical music institutions including Juilliard, the Royal College of Music, the Cleveland Institute of Music, and more gather to study, perform and collaborate in the Magic City this summer for the 2015 Festival.

All five programs—Opera, Piano, Orchestra Conducting, and Composition—join collective forces in this thrilling “best of” program featuring the winner from the MSMF Piano Institute Concerto Competition with the MSMF Symphony Orchestra. Top-notch singers of the MSMF Opera Institute then showcase favorite opera and Zarzuela scenes and arias, buoyed by the MSMF Symphony Orchestra which takes on Stravinsky’s vigorous and primal Rite of Spring. A provocative masterpiece that caused near-riots at its premiere, Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring is widely considered one of the most influential musical works of the 20th century.

An exciting concert revealing the expanse of young talent across performance fields at Miami Summer Music Festival, this program at Miami’s acoustic and aesthetically stunning New World Center is sure to leave you on the edge of your seat.
