Bullying is one of the most profound issues facing young people today. Ghetto Youths Foundation is proud to announce a special program to combat bullying by inspiring everyday acts of kindness and caring, giving back, and living in unity — all through the universal power of love.
Inspired by the iconic heart-shaped guitar pic used onstage by eight-time Grammy Awardwinning singer, songwriter, and producer, Stephen Marley, the PIC LOVE Collection features this special guitar pic, hand-dipped in gold to create a timeless piece of meaningful jewelry. The PIC LOVE Collection includes custom-made necklaces and bracelets for men, women, and children, all sold exclusively and in limited quantities at: www.ghettoyouthsfoundation.org/piclove.

Proceeds from the PIC LOVE Collection will directly support anti-bullying programs for young people. The first stop on this national campaign for kindness is a groundbreaking partnership with Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) to support anti-bullying programs for young people.
Ghetto Youths Foundation, founded by Stephen, Damian, and Julian Marley – sons of the musical legend Bob Marley – is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing aid and resources, opportunity and hope to communities in need across the globe. The Foundation’s annual outreach programming includes significant philanthropic programs in the areas of health and wellness, education and academic advancement, and community support – serving
hundreds of senior citizens, young people, and compromised communities in Jamaica and beyond.

Based in Miami, Florida, the Foundation and the Marley Family commitment to uplifting young lives right here in our own backyard was the initial catalyst behind the partnership with MDCPS. Bob moved his mother to Miami in the 1970’s, and since then Miami has always been a second home for the family.
“Giving back to young people in our Miami community is an important initiative for Ghetto Youths Foundation,” said Stephen Marley. “Our family footprint is here in Miami, as well as in Jamaica, and we walk in a legacy of love. Not because you have a different smile, or a different style, or a different shade. We all need to feel love – especially the youth.”

The in-school partnership with M-DCPS includes a K-12 program aimed at inspiring young people to “pick love.” Elementary, middle, and high school students will all have the opportunity to create a unique expression of love through creative illustrations, writing, and videos.
