The Mango Harvest Media Event is a hands-on, behind-the-scenes experience at The Fairchild Farm in the Redlands that combines a tour, a talk about mangos and mango varieties, mango picking, mango tasting and much more all led by Fairchild’s resident mango experts Dr. Richard Campbell, Senior Tropical Fruit Curator and Noris Ledesma, Curator of Tropical Fruit.

WHY: With eighteen years of experience in organizing the International Mango Festival, taking place July 9 & 10 this year, Fairchild’s Tropical Fruit team will make this event a unique, enjoyable and educational experience that offers the media a chance to try a variety of mangos and learn all about the king of fruit. Additionally, it’s a rare behind the scenes look at The Fairchild Farm, home to the world’s best collections of mango, avocado, mamey sapote, sapodilla, canistel, jackfruit, spanish lime and abrico; the result of an intensive effort of the research scientists of the Tropical Fruit Program.
