To help raise both money and awareness for women’s cancers, Saks Fifth Avenue Bal Harbour will partner with The Mount Sinai Comprehensive Cancer Center to host the 2012 Key To The Cure, a charity shopping weekend taking place October 18 through October 21.
To launch this year’s event, Saks Fifth Avenue Bal Harbour will host a Key To The Cure kick-off celebration on Wednesday, October 17, at 7pm, featuring hors d’oeuvres, live entertainment and, of course, shopping.
Actress Penelope Cruz has been named the 2012 Entertainment Industry Foundation’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund ambassador for Saks Fifth Avenue’s 2012 KEY TO THE CURE campaign. In support of this program, Ms. Cruz will appear in a national public service announcement (PSA) wearing the Caroline Herrera limited-edition T-shirt. The Key To The Cure PSA will appear in major fashion and lifestyle magazines in September and October.
The Key to the Cure Kickoff Party will have delectable samplings provided by Acme Bakery & Coffee, Azul, Bongos Cuban Café, City Hall, The Restaurant, Cookies by Shar, DeliverLean, Egg & Dart, Epicure Gourmet Market & Café, Essensia, Gotham Steak at the Fountainebleau,
J & G Grill, Makoto, Mister Collins, Morton’s the Steakhouse, Paulina’s Pops, Smartwater, Spartico, STK, The Federal Food, Drink & Provisions, The Green House Organic Food Restaurant, Timo, We Take the Cake, and Wynwood Kitchen & Bar. Cocktails will be generously provided by Southern Wine & Spirits, and refreshments by Smart Water and Coca-Cola. The Nailbar in Midtown Miami will be offering polish changes with the latest nails colors from Dior. Enjoy live music provided by DJ Madlinx.
