J’Adore Paris Gala and Cabaret After-Party at Comber Hall

The Coral Gables Community Foundation will celebrate its 5th annual fundraising gala with a special French theme. The J’adore Paris black-tie gala will take place on Friday, October 29, 2010, 7 p.m. at Comber Hall, 1251 Palermo Ave., in Coral Gables, FL. The gala will begin with a Bacardi© open bar and for the first time ever, guests will be invited to dance the night away at a Cabaret After-Party from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

As in previous years, the gala promises to be the VIP event of the Coral Gables social season drawing approximately 300 Coral Gables community leaders, local celebrities and philanthropists. The 2010 Legacy Award will be awarded to Jeannett Slesnick for her dedication to the organization. This year’s gala is co-chaired by Irela M. Bagué and Ana Maria Rodriguez and will be emceed by Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Mark Trowbridge.

“The Coral Gables Community Foundation is proud to serve those who live, work, learn and play in our community. Reaching our youth at summer camp, supporting high school graduates heading off to college, and helping senior residents enables the Foundation to touch many lives.  We are grateful to those who sponsor and attend our J’adore Paris gala for doing their part to give back,” stated Jerry Santeiro, 2009 & 2010 Chair of the Foundation.

The Foundation will also celebrate CoralGables@HOME, an innovative membership program initiated by the Foundation to help residents 50 years of age and older maintain independent living in their own homes. The first Florida-based program of its kind, membership includes dining and shopping discounts, transportation, inexpensive catered hot meals delivered daily, a help line, low rates for home repairs and service providers, plus fun monthly social and cultural events. Due to its growing success, the program will now operate independently from the Foundation.

Sponsors of the gala include Bacardi U.S.A., Baptist Health South Florida, FPL, Selecta Magazine and Tiffany & Company. An image called “Rêver de Vous” created by George Rodez of the RODEZart.com Gallery represents the event, and will be on display that evening.

Tickets for the black-tie J’adore Paris Gala are $250 per person and include entry to the pre-gala reception and silent auction, gala dinner and dancing to live band “Ariel”, and admission to the Cabaret After-Party. Tickets may also be purchased separately for the after-party for $50 and will include Bacardi© open bar, DJ and dancing. Cocktail attire is suggested for the after-party.
