Interior Designer Francois Frossard Creates Miami’s Latest Adult Playground at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach

arkadia/Fontainebleau MiamiFeaturing a stylish environment with intimate, sexy alcoves, celebrated interior designer Francois Frossard designs the new ArKadia lounge and pool concept at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach.  Known as the “designer behind Miami’s nightlife,” Frossard infused his signature decadent glamour style to this seductive playground for adults.  To depict his vision of a mirrored jewelry box, Frossard implemented laser-cut gold mirrors on the ceiling, diamond shaped mirrors at the bar and DJ booth as well as mirrored columns reflecting the lighting and architecture of the space.

ArKadia, whose name was inspired by the arcade that once occupied the area in the 70’s and 80’s, also features furniture designed and custom-built by Frossard.  Instead of the typical simple back booths found in other nightclubs, Frossard placed silver and white-colored, leather sofas with banquettes tufted on the inside for a more Chesterfield-style elegant look. The round gold-colored tables were also custom-designed and not oversized in order to give the cocktail waitresses enough space to properly service the customers.

Special detail was given to the lighting design to deliver this exceptional ambience. The bar is properly illuminated for personal conversation and service without disrupting the series of vignettes and mini strobes that produce the unprecedented energy of this premier South Beach nightclub.

Living up to the reputation of Fontainebleau Miami Beach and its internationally known nightclub, LIV, ArKadia is already becoming the new hotspot for celebrities and Miami A-listers alike.  The nightclub, which opened October 28th, held a private, star-studded preview party with guests such as LeBron James, Alex Rodriguez, Edward Norton and Elle MacPherson.  ArKadia offers 25 tables and two full-service bars and can accommodate more than 300 guests.
