IN ITS TENTH YEAR, CELEBRATE ORGULLO PRESENTED BY THE UNITY COALITION WILL TAKE PLACE OCTOBER 1- OCTOBER 15, 2020

Celebrating a tenth year, the 2020 Celebrate Orgullo Festival will help us navigate out of, reflect on, and rise from an unimaginable global crisis, civil unrest, and social injustice. Recognized as Miami’s Hispanic and Indigenous festival for the last decade, Celebrate Orgullo will again explore how our UNITY IN DIVERSITY can inspire us – through Art, Society, Music, Rhythm, Crisis, Hope and Self-Expression. All are invited to participate, collaborate, and unite this October 1- 15, 2020 during Hispanic Heritage Month.

Unity Coalition|Coalición Unida is South Florida’s organization for Latinx|Hispanic LGBTQ communities since 2002, and is proud to produce the annual Celebrate ORGULLO Festival |  South Florida’s first Hispanic and Indigenous LGBT Pride festival since 2011 – enters its 10th successful year with UNITY IN DIVERSITY | DIVERSIDAD EN UNIDAD – an International Artists Showcase; Diva Masks juried exhibit; Virtual Tours; Movie Nights; Spoken Word events, and much more… Across South Florida.

Unity Coalition is also proud to announce a COLLABORATIONwith Art of Change 21 | Since its creation in Paris in 2014, the perspective of COP21, Art of Change 21 highlights the role of artists and creativity, as accelerators of the ecological transition, and acts on an international scale. The Unity Coalition Celebrate ORGULLO Festival is proudly partnering with Art of Change 21. Since 2015, Maskbook project has taken global creative action on the link between health and the environment, using the protective mask as a symbol.

After air pollution, the Covid-19 pandemic is exposing this link on an unprecedented scale and galvanizing us into action. Art of Change 21 is launching the COVID-19 Maskbook campaign, to collectively create the largest international gallery of masked, creative, and committed engaged portraits on the theme of COVID-19.

The Unity Coalition has focused on a plight to showcase and celebrate [our] chosen families, identities, individualism, essence, and our “ORGULLO”. The country and our community are living during unpredictable, times but we must all carry the responsibility of moving forward and leading our communities out of this unimaginable crisis. With that said, the 2020 festival has put together an array of events, to serve this purpose.
