III Points x Wynwood Pride x PAMM: National Pride Month Celebration

June 1
7–10:30pm

On June 1st, Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) will be hosting a National Pride Month Celebration in partnership with III Points Festival and Wynwood Pride. The event promises an evening of engaging panel discussions, insightful music performances, and live entertainment.

The first panel, titled “Reclaiming the Underground: The Power of Queer Music and Community Building,” will feature Jor-El Garcia, Mokibaby, Pressure Point, Mother Monica of QueerParties, Ultrathem of Internet Friends, and SATURNSARii of Perreo Del Futuro. Moderated by Pola Bunster, the discussion will focus on the state of music in the underground scene and how to create and foster queer spaces.

The second panel, “Fighting For Our Art: How Drag Performers are Breaking Down Barriers in the Face of Discrimination,” will have some of Miami’s top drag entertainers, including Athena Dion, Kat Wilderness, King Femme, Lady Paraiso, and Opal Am Rah. Moderated by Regina Cocoa, the panel will share their views on recent bans and discriminatory legislation being introduced in the state of Florida and across the country.

The celebration will conclude with a live DJ set by Mystic Bill and a special performance by Kat Wilderness on the waterfront terrace. Guests must be 18 years or older to attend, and seating for the panels will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The event is free with RSVP, and attendees are encouraged to come out and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community in Miami.
