The legendary Turnberry Isle Miami is teaming with Holtz Children’s Hospital at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center during its second annual gingerbread project. Led by the resort’s longtime Executive Pastry Chef Danny Malone, who serves on the board of advisors for Le Cordon Bleu’s pastry program, the project involves patients from the hospital’s outpatient oncology, hematology, dialysis and cardiology clinics, as well as children from the Jackson Pediatric Center, who will decorate gingerbread cookies for incorporation into the design of the gingerbread house that will be on display in the Lobby Lounge at the 300-acre Turnberry Isle Miami.
Then on Tuesday, December 18, locals are invited to Turnberry Isle to unveil the resort’s Gingerbread Project in collaboration with Holtz Children’s Hospital. Hot apple cider, holiday cookies, a story teller and singers from the AT&T Young Stars Showcase will be part of the complimentary festivities from 5:30 to 7 p.m. For more details, call (786) 279-6521 or email rpinzur@turnberryislemiami.com
