Public to enjoy free H1N1 vaccines, fitness demonstrations, health screenings and more
The Shops at Sunset Place, one of South Miami’s leading retail and entertainment destinations, will present its “Health and Fitness Expo presented by 3MedHealth,” which will showcase various services and organizations that will educate families about the importance of healthy living through exercise and proper eating habits to last a lifetime. The event will take place on Sat., March 6 from 12 noon to 6 p.m. on the first level of the mall near Dan Marino’s Town Tavern.
The “Health and Fitness Expo presented by 3MedHealth” will also include health and fitness demonstrations, food samples, beauty makeovers, style presentations and much more. There will also be raffle drawings for various prizes, including 30-day passes to LA Fitness, beauty products, Sony Ericsson Open tickets and much more.
Event attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy free H1N1 influenza vaccines provided by the Miami-Dade County Health Department; memory screening and information on detecting and supporting Alzheimer’s disease provided by The Alzheimer’s Association; and information on the risks of being overweight and body composition screenings provided by Fitness Challenge Program.
