Shocked, Brian and Emily try to raise the money they need to buy Meg out, but even ramping up sales of Jenny’s Home Baked pastries isn’t enough, and soon the inn is put up for sale. Meanwhile, the town comes together to hold a fundraiser to help save the inn.

Though Travis can’t divulge details about the theft, he and Amy do engage in playful banter while she waits for a student who doesn’t show. Suspecting the girl has boyfriend trouble, Amy is worried, especially when she receives a disturbing call from her student and the phone goes dead. Now the fictional crime professor fears she’s going to need to investigate a real crime.

Most emphatic about this is Brennan O’Brien, a handsome councilman and local whiskey distiller. While Lindsey is there, the town’s annual, world-renowned matchmaking festival filled with local activities is taking place. Seeing this as a chance to prove her investment to the town – and Brennan – Lindsey signs up even though the last thing she’s looking for is a love connection.

Meanwhile Nick, the resort’s junior chef, believes in his culinary talent but hasn’t been able to convince the head chef to put his creations on the menu. Carly is impressed with Chef Nick’s food and offers to connect him with her high-end clients.

The problem with doing that in a town the size of Lemon Myrtle Cove is that the only available contractor for miles happens to be Simon.
