On June 6th, the second grade students at the Gordon Day School hosted their annual Culture Fair, during which each student learned about a different country, including its geography, culture, customs, economy and political structure. Students prepared booklets and displays about their countries, and the project culminated with a special day during which the children brought homemade foods and handmade artistic creations from their country for the class families to enjoy. The school cafeteria was transformed into a World’s Fair of culinary delights! One student even brought friends from Haiti (her assigned country) to celebrate!

The Gordon Day School is a Jewish elementary school for children in grades k-5. It is a division of the Gordon Schools of Beth David Congregation, which also encompass an Early Childhood Center, Religious School, and the Tikvah Center, the only autism-specific program within a Jewish day school in Florida. It is located in the Roads neighborhood adjacent to Brickell and Downtown Miami.
