Girl Scout Council of Tropical Florida Opens Registration for Summer Camp Program – June 14 thru August 6 – Campers to enjoy weekly themed activities

Girl Scout Council of Tropical Florida announced today that registration for its Girl Scout 2010 Summer Camp Program is now open to all girls 5 to 17 years old.  Camp will run from June 14 to August 6 in three girl-specific camps in Miami-Dade County. Activities include hiking, swimming, weekly field trips, overnight camping and Girl Scout badge work among many other activities in a safe supervised atmosphere. All camps will have weekly themed activities.  At camp Choee, each week campers will enjoy different themed activities from an array of countries including Japan, Brazil, USA, Africa, Greece, France, Egypt and India.  

Girl Scout Summer Camp also provide the following benefits: all girl environment focused on the needs of girls, professional trained Girl Scout facilitators, staff camper ratio averages one in eight girls, activities divided by age-level with educational programs, safe, secure, gated camp grounds and CPR/First Aid certified camp staff who have passed a background check.

The cost for the Girl Scout 2010 Summer Camp Program is $100 per week Girl Scouts and $112 per week for Non-Girl Scouts. Overnights are $27 and field trips are $18. SPECIAL PROMOTION: All campers who recommend a friend will receive a FREE overnight stay for two. Girl Scouts and non-Girl Scouts are welcome to attend.

Girl Scout Camp is open to all girls 5 – 17 years old, with program aides (12 – 13 years old) or Counselor In Training (14 – 17 years old) opportunities.
