About Au Pied de Cochon:
Au Pied de Cochon, an iconic French brasserie opened in 1947 and today is operated by the French restaurant group Les Freres Blanc. It was originally opened when Clement Blanc, a butcher in the Les Halles wholesale market district who specialized in pigs saw the need to open a restaurant to provide late night meals for his staff. It quickly became the toast of the town, attracting everyone from local workers, tourists, artists, celebrities and aristocrats.
