WHAT: FLITE Center (Fort Lauderdale Independence, Training & Education Center) to host FLITE UNIVERSITY, a weekly Virtual Educational Series for youth in Broward County, via Zoom.
- FLITE Center invites all youth transitioning to independent living in Broward County to take part in this weekly educational series that will focus on the most prevalent topics today, including:
o How to Get Employed: Learn how to get a job and keep it by knowing how to conduct yourself on Zoom, social media, interviews, etc.
o FLITE Center Gets the Vote Out: Learn about government officials (Commissioners, Mayors, Presidential Candidates, etc.)
o Budgeting with Bobby: Learn how to manage your finances and achieve your financial goals
o Cooking with Vanessa: Learn how to plan and prepare an easy, delicious and affordable meal.
- FLITE Center’s mission is to guide those aging out of foster care and other vulnerable youth for a successful transition to independence through housing, education, employment, and system of care coordination.
