January 25 and 26
9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
318 NW 23rd St, Miami
Before January is over, you’ll find a new exercise obsession, pick up a few skin care tricks or master a mouthwatering (and good for you!) recipe at the first annual FitMiami Festival, a groundbreaking event taking over the landmark Mana Wynwood. Get ready for two days of non-stop action for the mind, body and soul on January 25 and 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This first-of-its-kind festival brings together four pillars of health in an expansive 33,000-square-foot space: fitness, nutrition, wellness and beauty.
With over 80 vendors and upwards of 50 classes, speakers and workshops, FitMiami Festival promises an experience that will educate, empower and unite the community.
Need to get out of an exercise rut?
FitMiami attendees can sign up for a butt-kicking roster of master classes on the Fit Stageled by instructors from Anatomy, Legacy Fit, Youfit and Move Lift Live, along with Nike master trainer Patrick Frost. Fitness fiends can also get their fix with a few rounds in Fit Miami’s Boxing Ring or a session in the Spin Studio Showroom. Those looking to take a break from the action can watch a Fit Tribe exhibition or soothe sore muscles in the Stretch Zone. The event will also feature a CrossFit Village with apparel, gear and supplements aimed at leveling up the next WOD.
Before heading to their next sweat sesh, attendees can fuel up at FitMiami’s Food Court, where the city’s yummiest restaurants and food services will be dishing up delicious and nutritious meals. Eventgoers will also have the opportunity to meet the area chefs making Miami a healthy place to eat and live at the Kitchen Lab, where they can watch and learn from a series of cooking classes and demos. Information on dietary supplements and sports nutrition will also be available at the event along with a Farmer’s Market brimming with fresh produce, baked goods, nut butters, marmalades, honey, flowers, and bath and beauty products.
Aside from getting physical, FitMiami has tracked down the best treatments, massages and wellness routines to balance both body and mind. Yoga and meditation classes will be offered in the Gratitude Tent along with restorative sound healing sessions lead by local yogi Michelle Berlin. The tent will also host a two-hour Cacao Ecstatic Dance closing ceremony with Grant, the “Cacao King.” Massage therapists, chiropractors and physical therapists will be on hand to offer advice on holistic pain management and wellness.
Beauty may be skin deep, but a little surface self-care can go a long way.
