Foundation Weekend
The Miami Dolphins Foundation will host its largest annual event featuring current players and alumni, FinsWeekend, on June 3-5, 2010. The three-day event will feature an exciting weekend of golf, fishing and celebrities. All proceeds from FinsWeekend will benefit the Miami Dolphins Foundation.
The festivities will begin on Thursday, June 3 with the FinsWeekend Kick-Off event, the Pairings Party and 2009 Season Team Awards Ceremony, at the Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club in Aventura. The ceremony honoring the recipients of the annual Miami Dolphins team awards – the Don Shula Leadership Award, Nat Moore Community Service Award and the Dan Marino Most Valuable Player Award will start at 6:30 p.m. Dolphins players, alumni and coaches will be in attendance. This event is now sold out.
The next morning, Dolphins players and alumni will hit the green at The Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort & Club’s award-winning golf course in Aventura on Friday, June 4 for the FinsWeekend Golf Tournament presented by Hublot. Players will tee-off at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start. Later that evening, golf and fishing tournament participants will come together for the popular Hook & Tackle Captain’s Party at the Miami Beach Marina, which will feature a live and silent auction, entertainment . Tickets are still available for purchase for $250.00 and can be purchased at the door beginning at 6:30pm.
The following morning, on Saturday, June 5, amateur and professional anglers will meet at the Miami Beach Marina for the Miami Dolphins Foundation Fishing Tournament presented by eDiets.com. Participants will enjoy a day of offshore fishing accompanied by Dolphins players and alumni. That evening, attendees will gather for the Scott Financial/HMY Fishing Awards Ceremony and Dinner to find out who walked away with the biggest catch. Don’t miss the live auction! Tickets are still available for purchase for $100.00 and can be purchased at the door beginning at 5:30pm.
