Father Ángel, along with Chabeli Iglesias and Rosana, celebrates the 3rd Messengers of Peace Dinner in Miami.

“The only word one can say is thank you. Thank you to so many people who surround us and help us, because society needs people capable of accompanying, of reaching out, of not looking the other way.” These were Father Ángel ‘s words at the Third Messengers of Peace Solidarity Dinner in Miami .

The night of April 10th at Jungle Island brought together prominent figures from the business, cultural and social spheres, all united by a common cause: to support the aid programs that Messengers of Peace has underway in Honduras (where they serve more than 500 children and their families) and in Miami (a city where they work with homeless people together with the NGO Hermanos de la Calle).

The event, hosted by Rocío Sañulo-Limón , was attended by Chabeli Iglesias , who was serving as the event’s patron for the third consecutive year. Also present was singer Rosana , Honorary Messenger and ambassador for the organization, who, after her performance, auctioned off her guitar capo, an object that has accompanied her in numerous concerts throughout her career.

One of the most moving moments occurred during Telma Ortiz ‘s speech. During her remarks, she recalled her connection to Asturias and her grandmother Menchu, one of the first “messengers of peace” in her family: “My grandmother was a journalist, a broadcaster, a woman ahead of her time. Many years later, I still see in Father Ángel’s work the incredible task of giving an opportunity to those who have almost lost hope.” She affirmed that Father Ángel “has everything it takes to change reality.”

Renowned film producer Juan Antonio Casado brought his energy to the charity auction, making it one of the most lively moments of the evening. Artist MRDRIP also lent his creativity to the Messengers of Peace cause by live painting a work that was then auctioned off to great acclaim.

The dinner took place during a trip Father Ángel and part of the Messengers of Peace management team visited various projects the organization is developing in Central America , especially in El Salvador and Honduras. “We are leaving with our hearts full of hope. Every person who joined us tonight gives us the strength to continue working for those most in need,” concluded Father Ángel, visibly moved by the affection he received.
