FAIRY TALE BALL TO BENEFIT THE NEW JOE DIMAGGIO CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

Mandee Adler, Kelly Finkel Committee Chair, Babette Ferre-Kosar Founding President & Ronnie Greissman event Co-Chair at DA Spring Luncheon The Diamond Angels of Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation will host the 8th Annual Fairy Tale Ball, their premier event of the season.  On Saturday, November 19 at 7:00 p.m. The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa will be transformed into a magical scene from “The Lion King” in the spirit of the much loved Disney movie.

Hosted by the volunteer Diamond Angels with the help of Title Sponsor The Westin Diplomat and Presenting Sponsor Dade Medical College and sponsored by The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa, the fundraising event will feature a cocktail reception, spectacular live and silent auctions, dinner, dancing and an electrifying classic rock concert.  Past musical performers have included the late Clarence Clemons, Mickey Thomas of Starship, Greg Rolie of Santana, Steve Augeri of Journey, Gerry Beckley of America, Grand Funk Railroad’s Mark Farner and Wally Palmar of The Romantics.  Musical acts for this year’s Fairy Tale Ball will be announced soon. Other sponsors include Ultimate Software Group and Warren Manufacturing Co., Inc.

“The Diamond Angels is an amazing group of hard-working, dedicated woman with one goal in mind – to help Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital fulfill its mission to deliver excellent healthcare and support to the children and their families when they need it most,” said Ronnie Greissman, Fairy Tale Ball event co-chair. “I am so proud to be part of that group!”

 

The proceeds from the event will be directed to the completion of the building of the new Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital that opened its doors to patients on July 21, 2011 as well as the Pediatric Cardiac Program that has recently completed its third heart transplant.

Sponsorship packages are available and tickets cost $250 per person.  This year, The Wasie Foundation Challenge for Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital will match dollar-for-dollar all new sponsorships, or increased incremental levels of sponsorships, through a grant from The Wasie Foundation to help provide funding for the new Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
