There is only One Year to Go until the eyes of the world fall upon the UAE, with 192 countries and millions of global visitors set to gather for an entertainment-packed, inspirational and future-shaping 173 days at Expo 2020 Dubai.
Tickets to Expo 2020’s One Year to Go event in Burj Park, Downtown Dubai were fully booked in less than two hours by people from 76 nationalities, all eager to see spectacular live performances by global superstar Mariah Carey and acclaimed Emirati singer and Expo 2020 Brand Ambassador Hussain Al Jassmi.
This milestone moment on Sunday, 20 October 2019 was celebrated simultaneously across the UAE’s six other emirates, with fun-filled festivities for the whole family taking place at Louvre Abu Dhabi, Al Majaz Waterfront in Sharjah, Ajman Museum, Umm Al Quwain Corniche, Al Qawasim Corniche in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah Fort.
Each event included live broadcasts of the Dubai concerts and the eye-catching LED show on Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, counting down to 2020 (8.20pm) to mark the launch of Expo 2020 on 20 October 2020.
The World’s Greatest Show, held between 20 October 2020 and 10 April 2021, will feature A-list performers, cutting-edge tech, world-famous chefs, at least 60 live shows a day, 200-plus dining outlets, ground-breaking architecture and so much more.
