DYNAMIC SENIOR SHOW EXPLORES THE UNEXPECTED

Opening Reception: June 3; 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

With a dynamic exhibition showcasing more than 40 remarkable pieces of art, 29 visual arts graduating seniors will conclude their tenure at New World School of the Arts as high school students. Curated by Maggy Cuesta, dean of the visual arts program at NWSA, and faculty members Tom Wyroba and Michael Loveland, the exhibition will showcase pieces representative of the students’ works over the year. The show will include drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, ceramics, sculpture, video, and performance.

“It’s an exceptional show that demonstrates the extraordinary level of artistic maturity of our graduating class” said Cuesta. “These students are highly creative and continually excel – not just because of their technique, but also because they are willing to experiment with their art. They are conceptual artists who produce artwork well beyond what is expected at such young age.”
