In an effort to get more animals adopted and assist the community in doing so, Miami-Dade Animal Services (MDAS) has decided to make an unprecedented offer. Adopt a shelter dog 40 lbs. and over from MDAS for $25 or a cat for $10. This is a significant discount from the regular adoption rate of $65 per dog and $35 for cats (one or two). This special promotion is only for a limited time. Please note that is pet is not yet sterilized, a refundable $50 deposit is required.
WHO: As part of a community outreach effort, Miami-Dade Animal Services is encouraging the community to take advantage of this opportunity to adopt and save a life. There are incredible animals at the shelter just waiting for a forever home.

About Miami-Dade Animal Services
Animal Services is responsible for enforcing Chapter 5 of the Miami-Dade County Code, as well as Florida Statute 828, which deals primarily with animal cruelty issues. Unlike private shelters that have limitations on the number of pets they accept, Animal Services accepts all dogs and cats. Each year, the shelter impounds 36,000 pets.
