James Beard award winning Chef Douglas Rodriguez introduces De Rodriguez Ocean, a 200-seat, beachfront restaurant tucked off the lobby of South of Fifth’s posh Hilton Bentley hotel. Since opening its doors in October 2010, De Rodriguez Ocean has seen immense acclaim for the chef’s forward-thinking cuisine and trademark Nuevo Latino menu featuring bold and colorful flavors, 15 signature ceviches and a wide variety of seafood-centric appetizers, entrees and side dishes. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating, a chic 25-foot ceviche and raw bar, two full bars, including one pool side, and an extensive cocktail list created exclusively for Miami’s most discerning palates, boasting fresh tropical fruits and purees.
Incorporating natural sea elements and Chef Rodriguez’s ‘ocean’ concept, the restaurant’s interior features hand-carved wooden mermaid sculptures, reclaimed wood repurposed for the ceilings, cork walls and subtle amber lighting creating a seductive dining experience. De Rodriguez Ocean is open seven days a week, from 6PM to 11PM Sunday to Thursday, and 6PM to 1AM Friday-Saturday.
