Children’s Fashion Show benefits Kids Hope United

Kids Hope United supporters flooded the Intercontinental West Miami for the annual Fall Into Fashion, a children’s fashion show. This year, the Mayor of Doral, Juan Carlos Bermudez, recognized the agency with an extra special honor by proclaiming Nov. 7 Fall Into Fashion Day in the City of Doral.

The event was hosted by Mistress of Ceremonies Diana Diaz, co-anchor of “Today in Florida.” Special guests also included former foster child, Tabita Wright, who received the Shining Star Award for her determination and drive to succeed after becoming pregnant as a teen. Sara Perez, adoptive mother, was honored with the Champion for Children Award in recognition of the adoption of four foster youth, all of whom walked the runway in the fashion show. The Perez family received one-year scholarships to the Doral Conservatory.

For the past four years, the Miami law firm of Stearns and Weaver has been a corporate sponsor of Fall Into Fashion. Both Stearns and Weaver and dedicated Kids Hope United volunteer and adoptive mother, Ana Veliz, were honored at the event for their ongoing commitment to the mission of Kids Hope United?protecting children and strengthening families.

Proceeds from the event benefited Kids Hope United programs and services—helping ensure a safe home for every child.
