Bulleit Frontier Whiskey 12-Year-Old Rye returns after five years

Bulleit Rye 12 Year Old

In response to increasing demand and a desire for more premium expressions in the rye category, Bulleit has reintroduced its award-winning 12-Year-Old American Straight Rye Whiskey. Originally released in 2019, this limited-availability extension of Bulleit Rye Whiskey retains the high rye content of 95% along with 5% malted barley, aged for at least 12 years in new charred American white oak barrels. The 2024 release incorporates whiskey aged up to 17 years, resulting in a smooth, aged taste with nuanced differences from the previous iteration.

Jesse Damashek, Senior Vice President of Whiskies & Liqueurs at Diageo, emphasized the unique spicy flavor profile of rye that appeals to both consumers and bartenders. Bulleit’s commitment to satisfying the growing interest in premium whiskey led to the return of the Rye 12-Year-Old, building on the success of the first release. Master Blender Andrew MacKay highlighted the rye’s spicy character balanced with mature flavors from selected barrels.

Bulleit Rye 12-Year-Old is priced at $54.99 for a 750ml bottle and available nationally (excluding Maine) where fine spirits are sold. The all-green label on the iconic Bulleit bottle prominently features the 12-year-old age statement, inviting consumers to enjoy this premium whiskey responsibly in their preferred style.
