ARVA MOORE PARKS, Miami’s favorite historian, is the author of Miami: the Magic City (Community Media); Miami Then and Now; George Merrick’s Coral Gables; Harry Truman and the Little White House in Key West; and The Forgotten Frontier: Florida Through the Lens of Ralph Middleton Munroe. A lifelong Miami resident, she is a past chair of the Florida Humanities Council.
